Lauren Burke was a 3 year starter at Oakton High School in Vienna, Virginia – 2 time MVP for lacrosse, along with being the 2010 OHS Sportswoman of the Year. She won VHSL 2 state championships for lacrosse, along with being First Team All-District, All-Region, and Second Team All-State. She attended Johns Hopkins University as an attacker where she played for Janine Tucker, Tara Singleton and Steele Stanwick. After spending two years in New York City, she recently moved back to the DC area where she is now an Assistant Coach with the Varsity team at Oakton.

Kristen Coleman McDaniel is the Assistant Director of Athletics and Head Coach for Varsity Lacrosse at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, Maryland. Prior she was the Assistant Director of the Hanley Center and Summer Camps at Georgetown Preparatory School for four years and served as the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach and Lacrosse Program Director at the Academy of the Holy Cross (AHC) from 2014-2017. In her second year as head coach, she led the Tartans to their best season in program history. AHC ended the season with a 16-4 record and a 2nd place finish in the WCAC tournament. They ended the season ranked as the #4 team in the country. Under her leadership, AHC achieved its first national ranking and highest Washington Post ranking since 2007. Additionally, Coleman was named Coach of Year in the Montgomery County Gazette.

Coach Coleman played Division I Lacrosse at Fairfield University, where she was team captain, and at Georgetown University where she finished her career as a fifth year graduate player. Kristen graduated from Fairfield as a US Lacrosse All-American. Ms. Coleman graduated from the Academy of the Holy Cross in 2007 where she is currently the head coach for the Varsity lacrosse team. During her high school career she was a four year Varsity Lacrosse player, serving as team captain during her junior and senior years. She was a 2007 U.S. Lacrosse High School All-American, and a three-time All-WCAC player, two time team MVP, and 2nd team All-Met. AHC finished her senior year ranked #6 in the Washington Post.

Lauren Binstein graduated from high school in Malvern, PA in 2010. She went on to play D1 lacrosse at American University for all four years. In her sophomore year she solidified a starting position as a low defender and started and played in every game for her sophomore, junior, and senior season. Her senior year she was ranked third in caused turnovers. Her senior year Lauren was nominated as captain. Lauren has coached for MC Elite club as well as Junior Varsity at Walt Whitman High School.

Shannon Gallagher attended Academy of the Holy Cross HS where she was a four year varsity lacrosse and field hockey player. While at AHC she gathered the following accolades: Honorable Mention All Conference sophomore year, All Conference Junior and senior year, First Team All Gazette senior year, Honorable Mention All-American senior season, won WCAC Championship 2012. Shannon attended Winthrop University where she Freshman of the Year in the Big South Conference, a four time first team All Conference, All Tournament team junio year, Tournament MVP junior year, Mid-major All American, two Conference championships and two Division 1 NCAA tournament appearances. Shannon has been a coach for the Georgetown Prep summer lacrosse camps since 2010 and Head Counselor for the AHC summer lacrosse camps since 2014.

Monica Lucas attended the Academy of the Holy Cross HS where she played varsity lacrosse and field hockey. While at AHC, Monica gathered the following accolades: US Lacrosse First Team All-American, Washington Post All-Met First Team, Montgomery County Gazette Player of the Year, WCAC All-Conference First Team and AHC MVP as a senior; USL All American Honorable Mention, UA Underclassman All-American, Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention, Montgomery County Gazette First Team, WCAC All-Conference First Team and WDNT as a junior; WCAC All-Conference Second Team and WDNT Second Team as a sophomore. Monica was a four year attack player for the University of Denver, graduating in 2016.

Karly O’Brien graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in 2007. As a midfielder, she assisted her team to 4 back-to-back championships. She went on to attend Robert Morris University, where she successfully completed all four years as a DI athlete. By the end of her freshman year, she clinched a starting spot as a low defender.  In 2009, she played and started in all 17 games for Robert Morris. She led RMU with 40 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers, while also adding one assist. She tallied at least one ground ball in all 17 contests and earned at least one caused turnover in 12 contests.  As a junior, she played through a season long injury of a fractured hand. She still saw action in 11 games, playing with a cast! She was ranked fourth on the team in ground balls while also controlling 16 draws to rank fourth on RMU. In 2011, she was nominated to the leadership committee, where she led her team to their first appearance in the NEC championship! Karly has coached for MC Elite club, Churchill High School, and started as the Varsity coach at Connelly School of the Holy Child in the 2016/2017 season.

Alexandra Franck grew up on Long Island and graduated from Shoreham Wading River high school in 2009. She was a multi-sport athlete, playing soccer, basketball and lacrosse.  As a three-year varsity starter for the lacrosse program, Franck played defense helping her team win 3 New York State championships.  She earned Unsung Hero honors in her senior year state championship game. She then went on to attend Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania where she majored in American Studies and completed the K-6 teaching certification program. She was a four year starter on defense for the Mules, earning All-Conference honors her senior year as well as finishing 3rd in program history in career ground balls and caused turnovers.  Franck graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2013 with a Bachelors of Arts in American Studies as well as a K-6 teaching license.  She will be earning her Masters from George Mason University this spring. She moved to DC and began her teaching career in 2013 with Fairfax County Public Schools where she is in her fifth year teaching 4th grade.

Kelly Massino is a Physical Education Teacher at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School where she is also the head Varsity Field Hockey Coach and Assistant Spring Track Coach. Coach Massino was a starting player on her Varsity Lacrosse and Varsity Field Hockey team all four years in high school. She continued her love of field hockey by playing at Frostburg State University. After college, she coached Varsity Field Hockey and JV Girls Lacrosse at her alma mater, Springbrook High School, for three years and then was the head JV Girls Lacrosse, JV Field Hockey, and Varsity Indoor Track Coach at Rockville High School before joining the Falcon’s coaching staff. As well as coaching in the county for over four years, she holds Level One Coaching Certification for Lacrosse and Field Hockey. She has been coaching with MC Elite since the fall of 2013.

Bob Maggio is a graduate of Clemson University.  He has been a resident of Rockville, MD for 16 years.  He has coached girls basketball at both the CYO and AAU levels.  He has been coaching girls lacrosse for eight years.  He spent the first six years with Rockville Girls Lacrosse Club and the past two years with MC Elite.  He also just completed his first season has an Assistant Varsity Coach for Richard Montgomery High School.  Bob is Level 2 certified by US Lacrosse and was recently selected to sit on the MC Lacrosse Board.

Julie Maggio has been coaching girls lacrosse for eight years.  She spent the first six years with Rockville Girls Lacrosse Club and the past two years with MC Elite.  Julie attended the Connelly School of the Holy Child where she played soccer, basketball and lacrosse.  Julie graduated from  Western Maryland College where she played one year of lacrosse.  Julie is Level 2 certified by US Lacrosse.

Katie graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in 2004. During her high school career, she was named Team MVP her sophomore, junior, and senior years; nominated Senior Captain; as well as received accolades for Honorable Mention All-Met, Academic All-American, 1st Team All-Gazette, and WCAC championship game MVP her senior year. She went on to attend Georgetown University, where she played on the club team for 2 years before transferring to Catholic University in 2006. At CUA, Katie was a starting midfielder and was listed on the IWLCA Honor Roll for 3 seasons. She was nominated Senior Co-Captain in 2009.

Katie previously coached MC Elite 2016 from 2013-2015, and is going into her 6th season as the Head Varsity Lacrosse coach at Walt Whitman High School where she has helped lead the program to achieve two Regional Championships and two State Semi-Final appearances. She was also nominated Coach Of The Year in 2014 by the Montgomery County Gazette.

Leanne Taylor graduated from Rockville HS in 2009, where she was a four year varsity starter and captain senior year. Then went on to play at West Virginia University, where she played mostly defense and midfield. She then started coaching at the Bullis school with their middle school team and was assistant JV coach, and now currently Head JV coach for lacrosse. She coaches soccer and basketball at the Bullis school for their women’s JV teams too. She has also coached various MC teams, from clinics, to early development teams, secletc teams and all the way up to Elite teams. Currently the head coach of 2023 Elite Carolina team.

Jenna Devilbiss graduated from Francis Scott Key in 2012, she was a four year varsity starter and finished high school receiving first team all conference. She graduated in 2016 from Bridgewater College with a degree in family sciences and a minor in education. In college she played midfield and was ranked Second team VaSID All-State, Second team All-ODAC, and ranked in the top-10 in the ODAC. She received the 15th place in the division 3 league for over all points. She currently is an 8th grade teacher working at High Road Academy. She has previously coached for the Westminster Area lacrosse league.

Dave Bruner has coached for Rockville Girls Lacrosse, MC Select, and MC Elite. He also coaches youth basketball. He has a Level 2 US Lacrosse certification and is a member of the National Youth Sports Coaches Assocation as well as the Positive Coaching Alliance.

Mia Minguela is a recent graduate from Ohio Wesleyan University where she double majored in East Asian Studies and Comparative Literature and played rugby in the fall as a full back and lacrosse in the spring as an attacker. Mia is a graduate of Wheaton High School where she was a three sport athlete, volley ball, swim team, and lacrosse. Her senior year she achieved athlete of the year and was voted to play in the county’s Senior All Star game. All four years in high school she was a mid fielder. Mia is currently a government employee at the Walter Reed Military Hospital.
